After getting the better of nature for three weeks running, Ocala Speedway succumbed to the relentless rains and has declared a rainout for August 1st. A cluster of showers and heavier rain that moved through the area during the morning hours, plus the daily downpours throughout the week, have combined to make the speedway too wet to attempt racing this week. The clay is simply too saturated for there to be any hope of drying sufficiently enough for racing to take place, and the infield has become a quagmire.

The next racing action scheduled for Ocala Speedway will be on August 8th. The Late Models will headline a night of divisional racing, including Hobby Stocks, V8 Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Gladiators. At this time no decision has been reached as to whether Ocala Speedway will make up the rained out Powder Puff event scheduled for the 1st.
