Ocala Speedway Hosts Southeast Series

NASCAR Kodak Southeast Series point leader Charlie Bradberry and two-time event winner Jeff Fultz will lead the field into Ocala for the Victory Junction 150 this evening at Ocala Speedway.

The race benefits the Victory Junction Gang camp Kyle and Patti Petty are developing for critically ill children in honor of their !ate son Adam.

Petty and fellow Winston Cup driver Christian Flttapaldi will be on hand to sign autographs from 7 until 8 p.m. in the main grandstand area.

Action in the 150 1ap $49,928 event begins earlier, however. with teams beginning practice at 2 p.m. and quaifying at 6. Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and main gates at 5.

Bradberry. of Chelsea. Alabama leads the standings 41 points ahead of fellow Alabama driver John Wilkinson III who hails from the racing city of Huey town. Wilkinson is also the top rookie in the Series. Fultz Racing out of Mooresville. N.C. is third in points. 55 behind Bradberry. Fultz. however, is the only two-time winner in the Series this year, winning at South Boston, Va., and again last weekend at Kentucky Motor Speedway. Local favorite David Reutimann of Zephyrhills is also expected to he on hand at the half-mile paved facility. Ocala Speedway is at 9050 NW Gainesville Road, south of Orange Lake.
